Fairytale Town To Visit

Cesky Krumlov is a city in the South Bohemia region of the Czech Republic. It’s bisected by the Vltava River, and mostly for us, architecture admirers, well preserved renaissance and baroque buildings, earning a spot on UNESCO's World Heritage List in 1992.
Trully magnificent town I never thought it existed other than the one on Disney's CGI fairytale movies. If I ever hit that jackpot, this is one of the places I would spend weeks at, just filling up memory cards with tons of magical architecture images.

Cool Lodge In The Middle Of The Desert

Adrere Amellal Ecolodge nestled in a desert oasis , this tranquil lodge was hand built in 1998 into the side of sandstone mountain, overlooking a salt water lake in Siwa, Egypt.

Designed as carbon neutral building, this lodge uses locally sourced Kershif (a mixture sun dried salt rock mixed with clay), biodegreable resources and vernacular architeure principles.

The buildings uses it's thick wall as a thermal mass buffer and it's small opening reduce heat gain from glazing. Passive ventilation system strategically placed to eliminate the need for mechanical air conditioning.

This Bamboo Forest Will Enchant Your Soul

Arashiyama Bamboo Forest, Kyoto - Japan is a bamboo forest with paths are over 500 meters long, set between Tenryuji templa and Nanomiya Shrine. It's on my bucket list. I mean it could be on yours also. There is no other bamboo forest in this world been photographed and film other than Arashiyama Bamboo forest. Trully enchanting.
I would like to think spring time is the perfect time to go there. So many landmark architectures will be backgrounded with Sakura trees. I just can day dream at the moment.

The famous Togetsukyo Bridge and also Tenryu Ji Temple is just within the path. Here are some of their majestic images
