Oscar Andres Mendez is an architect who founded Conceptos Plastico, a company which turns plastic and rubber waste into building materials.This action is not only building the structures like schools, community halls, homeless shelters and housing but it also cleaning up plastic pollution.
The building material he fabricates moulded into block shape, just like Lego pieces, making it easier to assemble. Because it's plastic base, this material is earthquake resistant and it also contains additives to make it fire resistant.
To build a single family house just takes 4 people with no construction experience and 5 days to finish it.
